Mandate Employee Profit-Sharing to Stimulate the Economy

Created by S.H. on February 13, 2013

Stimulate the economy by getting more money into the hands of the people who would spend it, thereby increasing demand.

The gulf between the working poor and the wealthy has widened over the past 30 years. 92% of the increase in wealth has gone to the top 2% of the population as workers pay has stagnated.

US corporations sit on CASH reserves of over two trillion dollars - a direct result of restricting the employee pay, despite increasing productivity year after year by the average worker.

We ask that profitable corporations be compelled to share a percentage of their profits with their employees - from the janitor to the board of directors. Each worker receives a share, based on hours worked, with no differential between highly paid executives and regular, shop floor workers.
