Mandate employers to allow maternity leave for mothers up to 12 months without losing their jobs or pay. Family counts.

In just about every advanced nation in the world, women are entitled to take at least 6 months off after giving birth. Before giving birth if they have health issues they can stay home without the fear of losing their jobs.
Here we are always saying that the American family is at the cornerstone of who we are as a nation but the current laws allow employers to force new mothers into returning to work as soon as possible within those 12 weeks where the employers must guarantee the position, after that the american family is on its own to face all that comes with not having a job, or having to go back sometimes a mere 2 weeks into motherhood.
We must take action to change this. We must protect our mothers, we must stop the abuse of employers to push new moms back to work.
