mandate that employers contact possible employees with the reason for not hiring them, so that improvements can be made.

Created by J.C. on October 05, 2015

Employers do not realize the dilemma they place upon potential hires when they do not contact them with a reason why they individual was not hired. How is anyone supposed to know precisely what to correct, in any situation, if they are not informed of what, specifically to correct?

I propose that Washington mandate that all employers be required to contact those that were not hired, and in so doing state why they were not hired.

Example: Someone applies to work as an administrative assistant for a law firm, but is turned down for another, more experienced individual.

Question: How is this person supposed to know that they were not hired based on experienced alone and not something else possibly related to the interview?
