Every United States public high school has a set criteria of classes that need to be fulfilled in order for a student to graduate. Rarely will a school's criteria consist of a money management course. Often, you will find such courses being offered at select schools as an elective; this petition will make it mandatory at every school.
There's always debate over the necessity of classes that are commonly required by schools. Money management helps students understand the foundation of wealth, taxes, loans, the Federal Reserve, and several other aspects that will effect the daily life of every student, regardless of their path past high school. Having a better understanding of money helps control personal finances, which will then translate to a healthier American economy.
