Mandate that every school district in America provide a magnet school for ADD/ADHD students.

Created by M.J. on January 01, 2013

Most public schools teach to one of eight identified learning styles which severly limits the ability for ADD & ADHD students to learn curriculums due to cognitive disabilities. The Center for Disease Control estimates that approximately 7% - 10% of students struggle with these disorders. While most of these children are of normal intelligence (and many are actually very intelligent), schools do not incorporate an instructional method that enables these kids to grasp the content, causing many of these kids to perform below their capability, causing frustration for teachers, other students in the classrooms and parents as well as self-esteem issues for the ADD/ADHD learners. One magnet school in each county for these students would provide adequate opportunities for them to thrive.
