Mandate that families are informed when their children are being exposed to non-vaccinated peers.

Created by D.J. on April 02, 2014

As the anti-vaccination movement has gained traction over the last ten years, so have outbreaks of diseases which were previously thought to have been eradicated in North America, such as Measles and Polio. We ask President Obama and Congress to introduce legislation mandating that families are informed when their children will be in contact with non-vaccinated children in daycare and school settings, and to give families the option to keep their children isolated from those children who have not received vaccinations. Just as some families retain the right to forgo vaccination for their children, so do those of us who choose vaccination retain the right to keep our children away from the risk of exposure to those diseases during the sensitive period between vaccination rounds.
