mandate the FCC to require Google / OEMs / Carriers to patch ALL Android versions with known vulnerabilities.

Created by T.B. on January 13, 2015

Google, as creator and controller of the Android operating system, should not be allowed to abandon more than 50% of all end users to the exposure of known security vulnerabilities.

Furthermore, both the COMMUNICATION device manufacturers and the COMMUNICATION provider companies should not be allowed to ignore NOR BLOCK critical updates that fix / prevent US citizens from being exposed to security vulnerabilities that can span the spectrum from financial losses, the exposure of private information, and even to the inability to use a COMMUNICATION device in a life-threatening emergency.

What is the point of even having an FCC if they will not punish the cynical, profit-driven acts of abandoning users to insecure or non-functioning devices with the only advice given being 'buy a new one'?
