Mandate the FDA to put Daily Value for Sugar on all labels containing fructose under the guise of its various names.

Created by K.A. on September 15, 2014

As science and health officials have repeatedly proven and warned. A high sugar intake can cause heart disease, diabetes, and obesity. If we have to take note of how much sodium, fiber, and calories we take in, why is sugar the exception? Most products labeled Fat Free contain an exuberant amount of added sugar in its place. If the epidemic of obesity is to be conquered we, as the United States of America, need to be the first to take this huge step. Many people have no idea what foods convert to sugar nor its various forms and names. So in turn we consume an overwhelming amount, causing liver damage and a slew of other medical issues. No, sugar isn't the only culprit but is a major factor. It is not safe to continue the mass consumption of this substance without an easy informative label.
