The amount of money that is being spent on elections controls the outcome. Whomever spends the most, usually wins. Many highly qualified individuals are kept out. There is mass corruption and financial influences controlling not only the outcome of elections, but the gridlock in congress. The money influences the bills passed or vetoed. Take the money out, level the playing field. Reduce the power of the mega rich and give the power back to the people. Make paid commercials illigal, just like the cigarette commercials were made illigal.
