Schools all over the country are cutting their art programs because of lack of money. I believe every student should have the opportunity to be involved in something where they can truly shine. If the government can provide funding for high quality programs, I believe it will help kids across the nation achieve greatness, not just in math, english or science.
Art should not be an elective or an after school program, it should be an important part of the curriculum. This will spark more creativity in the minds of young kids, and help keep them away from drugs and violence.
As only a middle school student, I feel the need to express myself, and I think art is the best outlet.
