Mandate a hazard tax to be applied to all guns manufactured and sold in the United States.

Created by A.N. on December 17, 2012

Because we need to tackle the availability of cheap guns flooding the United States, we suggest that we slap a *hazard* tax on every gun manufactured and sold in the United States.

We feel that if gun manufacturers are going to continue to create a product whose sole purpose is to kill, we the people want to be insured against that product in the form of a tax that makes the guns expensive to purchase.

In that way, we the people, hope that the law of supply and demand will take hold and make guns more expensive to manufacture and purchase which in turn will decrease the supply.

The additional revenue brought by the tax can be channeled into funding better mental-health research and allocating more resources for mental health care.
