I think I speak for our country -- nay, our world -- when I say that season 4 episode 8 of the HBO series Game of Thrones bore a deep wound in our society. Not only did it scar our collective psyche, but it also damaged our our perception of the world we live in. Undoubtedly, the shock slowed economic productivity as the vision of Prince Oberyn's head violently exploding like Ol' Faithful stained our conscience as we went about our week. Hence, I propose that the US government mandate that HBO rescind season 4 episode 8 and bring back Prince Oberyn for the entirety of the series. Such government action could only be good for the society that we live in and the future generations of America.
