If working people must take a drug test to get a job, why shouldn't people that are on federal or state assistance? Anyone under the age of 70 that receives Food stamps, Medicare, Medicaid, Section 8 housing, Disability, Social Security, Unemployment etc. should be required to submit to a drug test several times a year to continue to receive benefits. It's only fair. Those that are found in violation are immediately banned from receiving benefits and not allowed back on for a minimum of 1 year and must maintain a drug free status or be terminated from all programs indefinitely. Felony convictions while on assistance will be treated the same.
