Jimmy Carter installed solar panels on the White House during his administration and made an important first step to decreasing the dependency on foreign oil. The country should take this example and run with it.
If a law were passed or an executive order given to install solar panels on all government buildings this would do a couple of things. It would create jobs here is the USA. Much needed money would flow into the hands of manufactures of solar panels. Whatever amount of energy is produced by this would get the USA a little bit closer to being off foreign oil and producing clean energy right here where we live.
