To Mandate Insurance on all guns like we have on cars. Each gun a person owns should be covered by a $1 million policy

Treat guns like cars where you have to have insurance & require a minimum $1 million liability insurance on each gun owned. Have a mandated annual registration for & liability insurance on every gun just like a car. The prices would vary from lowest like a shotgun, revolver or hunting rifle to mid like a 9mm to high like a AR-15 or AK-47. The insurance has to be purchased before a sale can be completed. The owner will receive an insurance card and can then get the gun. YOU CANNOT GET A NEW GUN WITHOUT COVERAGE People can add the gun to their already in place gun coverage, just like a car, motorcycle, boat, trailer or jet ski....... The penalty for not having insurance or unregistered gun is a Class C misdemeanor and if you get 3 convictions of having no insurance it's a Class I felony.
