Currently, the IRS requests paid tax practitioners to complete continuing education courses which are provided by private sources at a cost. If the IRS wants us to take these courses under the pretense that it will provide better tax preparation, let the IRS provide those courses for free. The IRS could easily offer these courses online, and better control the course content.
