Mandate that the Knife Hand become an official method of communication in the United States Marine Corps.

The Knife Hand is an effective training tool that Marines have used for many years. To outlaw the Knife Hand would be a disservice to the Marines past and present. I petition that the Knife Hand be formally recognized as an effective non-verbal form of communication for United States Marines. To ban the Knife Hand would hinder a Marines effectiveness to properly train and motivate their team. The Knife Hand should be officially recognized as an effective training tool and part of Marine Corps tradition.
