GMO are Genetically Modified Organisms. It has been proven that residue from the GMOs survives the digestion process and enters the bloodstream. Mega giant corporations lobby for approval of self-regulated corn, soy, and other ingredients which they say are safe but have been proven otherwise by other countries not financially controlling our political system.
I feel as a consumer, that our citizens deserve the right to know not only what ingredients are in their food, but also if their food contains genetically modified organisms, and deserves the right to choose. Consumers should not have to buy purely organic to guarantee their food is GMO free.
