The working poor have reached a fever pitch in our country. There is no cinfidence that families will EVER be able to get off entitlement programs, because they need them to survive.
Single mothers are desperate to be able to make enough money just to pay bills, buy food, etc. However; even with a college degree, she cannot land a job that pays at least $20hr. This is the minimum $amount (with1-2) children needed.
Sadly, this LIVING WAGE will not allow her any extra money after spending it on all responsibilities. But she may be able to break free of the negative stigma of living an entire life on the "system."
A LIVING WAGE for citizens would stimulate the economy as well.
My plea is for the 98% of Americans who don't want to live a life of poverty while working extremely hard every day!
