Mandate the maximum number of students a teacher or related service provider can be assigned.

Created by M.M. on January 30, 2014

Elementary, Junior High and High School teachers and related service providers are being assigned too many students. This results in our children getting minimal support, over stressed educators and difficulty filling education jobs. There should be a maximum number of students an educator can be assigned before additional staff needs to hired. Teachers are being assigned 30+ kids and related service providers (speech therapist, occupational therapists, school psychologists and physical therapists) are often assigned 80+ students. This does a disservice to our children, education system, our educators and the community. It should be federal law that every state carries a maximum number of assigned students per educator.
