Licensed Professional Counselors and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists are rigorously trained and licensed professionals but are not included as billable providers for Medicare and Tricare. This limits the availability of quality mental healthcare for Medicare recipients and for veterans. It's time to update the laws and include LPCs and LMFTs.
