America needs to join the 25 other countries on our planet with mandatory military conscription of not less than 4 years for all US residents between the ages of 16 and 22, regardless of sex or ethnicity.
ROTC service counts as 1 month of military service per 4 months of ROTC.
This would provide all citizens with military training and discipline, teach them to follow orders, how to survive, proper firearm use and care, teamwork, appreciation for maintaining proper health and fitness levels, and trade experience for future employment.
Additionally this would allow for increased loyalty to our nation and those who serve during its wars, a constant significant standing military force at all times, border patrols, local law enforcement support, and disaster recovery assistance.
