Mandate minimum standards for ALL employers to provide 100% paid parental leave to ALL employees.

Created by A.S. on November 14, 2015

Issue an executive order establishing minimum standards for ALL employers (without exception or exemption) to provide 100% paid parental leave for ALL employees (without exception or exemption).

Minimum standards are intended to be the baseline for what is considered to be adequate parental leave for new parents.

The United States of America is the only industrialized country in the world that does not mandate such leave.

The internationally accepted minimum standard for adequate parental leave is 18 weeks.

If this is not possible through executive order, at bare minimum, alter the current executive order that provides paid leave to all federal employees to include all employees of any business that receives and federal funds. Then publicly compel congress to take strong action.
