The Nielsen boxes need to be eliminated because they impose a monopoly on setting prices for TV advertising. Advertisement prices are determined by the Nielsen rating a show receives. Our government needs to dismantle the monopoly the Nielsen Company has on TV ratings.
Also, shows are misrepresented by a smaller group and are cancelled based on an inaccurate number of ratings. Do you have a favorite show that is "in trouble" with ratings? Blame this system.
