Mandate public broadcasts of college sports that receive federal money.

Created by B.B. on November 21, 2014

It has come to a point that corporate greed has won over public interests. In this case it is college sporting events. Any college that receives federal money should be forced to air their games on local broadcast television or not at all. They should be allowed to also broadcast on corporate stations (Espn, Fox Sports, etc.) in addition to the local broadcast as long as every game that is aired is available live on local broadcast channels as well. There are many people who do not have cable or dish services, yet they still pay taxes that are used for scholarships and grants for the schools. These people are not able to watch the games. Considering that the games are a public venue, the games should be available to the general public.
