The recent massacre of 27 innocent adults and children in Connecticut is the last straw. We need to implement better security, training, and access restrictions at our schools nationwide. Every person who enters a public school should be scrutinized. My own childs school has entirely open access and should something like this happen there, it would be devastating.
People need to wake up and realize Gun Control is not the issue here. There are enough guns currently available that if a psychopath wants to obtain one and massacre innocent civilians the only thing that will stop them is the last line of defense, the police. We need to implement better barriers to prevent this. If anything, we should also arm the teachers while we're at it.
