Mandate that Senators and Representatives work 30 out of 50 full work-weeks deliberating and taking action on issues

Created by P.B. on August 05, 2014

Over the last decade, congress has failed the American People. It is unfair that these individuals are allowed to self-regulate how much legislation is accomplished. Congress must be held accountable for the lack of action on the issues facing America, such as the economy, job creation, immigration reform, income inequality, civil liberties, social security, and many other important issues. The citizens that these elected officials represent work long hours at a much lower pay, without being able to fail to perform their jobs (they would surely be fired if they did). Representatives and Senators should be obligated to put forth more effort in serving the interests of the American People, and less time campaigning and fund-raising.
