Mandate States That Receive Federal Funds To Keep Biological Families Together When Children Are Placed Out of the Home

Created by P.T. on September 26, 2013

We understand that sometimes things happen to parents. When we have parents who are not able to care for their own children, and they are facing the risk of out of home placement, parents should be given the opportunity to identify relatives to plan for and provide safety, care, nurture, and supervision for their children.

The goal "must" be to support stability and continuity that creates strong healthy families. Children should not have to end up in foster homes. Foster care/adoption option systems should not be the priority.

We do believe that foster parents are a Godsend and have changed the lives of many children across this world. They play a major part in raising healthy children with normal lives. But foster care is for children who don't have a suitable family readily available
