Mandate a swift resolution to prevent falling off the "fiscal cliff" that includes a balanced approach.

Created by J.W. on November 14, 2012

In the recent past congress has delayed a compromise, to wit caused serious economic consequences. Our country cannot afford for a lame duck congress to repeat this fiasco. This fiscal cliff must be avoided as the United States economy and security depends on steady growth. We therefore request that a balanced solution be reached before the end of this year. This approach must include increase tax revenue and reduced spending (defense and non-defense). MIddle class tax cuts need to remain, those individuals making over $250,000 need to pay more and loop holes need to be closed. Tax cuts need to made in both defense and non-defense programs in a sensible manner without crippling social infrastructure and or military capabilities.
