mandate the teaching of firearm safety in public schools.

Created by S.C. on January 10, 2013

Since firearms are a leading cause of death or injury among children and are considered a public health hazard by some, young children should be educated on what to do if they encounter a firearm. Firearm education should continue throughout a child's educational career and culminate with classes ( H.S. Civics class?) on the moral and legal obligation a person incurs when carrying a firearm and the possible employment of deadly force.
