Mandate to transition all US public schools to an English/Spanish dual immersion program

Created by J.B. on June 17, 2014

Transitioning the public school system to a dual immersion based cirriculum would allow every child a bilingual education and balance the system without quotas.

Regardless of the differences in stances on the subject, our country was build on immigration. There are many students that speak English as a second language, and it sometimes negatively effects their test scores.

On the other side, there are many students that speak only English, and don't receive the beneficial results of being bilingual from a young age- when it's the best time to learn.

Introducing language through a mandated, yet inviting immersion environment at a young age would enhance language skills and decrease segregation in all our students.
