Mandate Verbal Repetition in Classroom Settings

Created by K.K. on February 25, 2012

Middle School mainstream, Special Education and other service providers will include in lesson plans a sufficient amount of time each week for students to practice and repeat verbal skills of preselected key concepts and vocabulary. The emphasis will be placed on life skills-skills used on a day-to-day basis that each student will need when graduating. A second emphasis will be placed on the core content areas of Science and Social Studies-History. Grade Level Planning time will be provided by administration to discuss specific units, concepts and vocabulary. A primary teaching objective will be to emphasize words that are commonly used across curriculum to facilitate student's understanding of why school is important to them.
