This petition is to help mandate and start implementing a warning label on the potential hazards lilies pose to felines.
Just a small amount of any part of a lily digested by a cat can cause devastation including; irreversible kidney damage, Kidney Failure and death to the animal.
The result of poisoning includes expensive and intrusive treatment for pet owners.
Lilies are sold at grocery stores, drug stores, gas stations, online and by florists. It is critical that there is greater awareness. I propose mandatory labelling of all lily plants sold, providing clear and comprehensible information on the lethal effects of the plant on cats.
