We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Mandated body cameras for all law enforcement agencies.

Created by A.S. on July 07, 2016

Help us make the government call for mandated use of body audio/video cameras from a third party organization where the data will be secured only by the third party off site and not affiliated with law enforcement. Both law enforcement and criminals and or victims should have to request a copy of the video from the third party for use as evidence in court for defense or offensive measures. Enforce laws that require them to wear them and be kept in good working condition. Failure to use one or to disable the camera or attempt to alter them should be punishable by law as a federal crime facing prison time and hefty fines for the department. This will help everyone including officers and is an essential step to moving forward for equal justice for all races of people.
