My goal in creating this petition is to have President Obama sign into law, a sensible and equal law that makes it mandatory for anyone purchasing a gun to go through a background check and reasonable waiting period before possessing that weapon. This law should include purchase not only at gun stores but also gun shows, gun exhibitions and all private sales.
I am starting this petition as a private citizen.
