Ever since the Women's Armed Services Integration Act of 1948 women have been given a permanent role in the United States in Regular and Reserve forces. However it is not required for women to register themselves for the draft when they reach adulthood at the age of 18 like men.
This petition aims to put women and men in equal positions within the Armed Forces by making it mandatory for all women of the United States of a legal age (18) and with valid citizenship to sign up for the draft.
