In an effort to reduce the tax burden on gainfully employed individuals, or any other tax payer, those currently receiving federal assistance related to housing, food, cash aid, or any other monetary gain shall be subject to mandatory drug testing. If an individual can afford illegal drugs and/or alcohol, that individual can afford to pay their way. Many jobs require drug testing, those who use drugs will be ill-prepared to pass a drug screen which in turn hinders or reduces employment options. Tax payers should not be forced to support drug addicts who have no financial interest in their upkeep or well-being.
