We have the right to know where food comes from, how the food is cultivated, and what it is made from. Genetically Modified Organism or not, and what pesticides were used will help the American consumer better understand what they are putting into their bodies. Chlorinated hydrocarbons have been linked to cancer, Inorganic pesticides containing arsenic and mercury end up in the food supply. These need to be mitigated on the consumer level, to assist in the American public understanding what goes into their food, and their bodies. Individuals are getting sick from these foods, and are none the wiser.
President Obama, please listen to the American public and speak out in favor of the mandatory labeling of genetically engineered foods and pesticide use.
