All food and beauty products need to include labels indicating the presence of GMO ingredient in their products. All product consumers have the right to be informed of what they are putting into or onto their bodies. Withholding this information is keeping us as American citizens ignorant about the decisions we chose to make. Not providing this information is preventing consumers from expressing their right to make this decision independently. Not everyone will find these informative labels important in their decision making of whether to consume, use, or buy the product, but it will give them the option. There are already companies that provide GMO information to their customers, these labels are at no extra charge and may even boost their sales.
