The prisons in this country are extremly overcrowded and dangerous.Most of the inmates are non-violent drug offenders.They committ petty crimes to feed their drug habbits.Without drug treatment,job training,and proper education,this trend will continue.They will continue racking up charges,clogging the courts,and filling our prisons till something is done.It has been proven that sending someone to treatment and giving him/her the resourses to find a job and go back to school is not only cheaper then prison but stops the destructive cycle and keeps them from returning to prison.It also helps the economy.Instead of our tax money paying for thousands of inmates to lay around watch tv and eat 3 times a day,they will be working,paying taxes,spending money,and being productive.It's a NO BRAINER
