According to statistical information listed on Autism Speaks' website, "ASD is estimated to affect more than 2 million individuals in the U.S. and tens of millions worldwide." Many of the families of the disabled do not have enough financial, physical or emotional support to be able to realize the "American Dream". Cutbacks in Arts and Physical Fitness programs in schools, as well as the long waits for funding for Adult Services leave families with few options. President Obama, we desperately need your help! I ran for Congress in 2004, hoping I could get in and make a difference. I didn't win my election, but I still want to make a difference. Will you please help me to help disabled Americans who like you have the audacity of hope. Help take the dis out of disabilities. Thank you!
