Many people with chronic pain have been criminalized and categorized with the REAL abusers. People are refused treatment

Created by M.K. on February 09, 2015

I have had it with the whole region I live in (Las Cruces, NM and El Paso, TX). I have a painful, incurable disease called Lupus. I have been referred and seen over 25 doctors in the last 10 years, and ultimately all they can do is treat my symptoms and pain; Only 2 out of 6 pain clinics properly treated my pain until the DEA took one doctors licence and the other doc left town. Now every pain clinic I go to requests urine, the sample is sopposed to monitor levels of your prescribed meds, but the labs are running 30+ tests that cost over $1,000, and this happens every month. What's worse is that most of these clinics REFUSE to treat pain, and categorizing everyone as addicts; what's worse is the Pain Management Act is being ignored by all the doctors in this region. Enforcement is needed!
