Many religions require males to grow facial hair. Just recently the Air Force policy has changed for females with "Dress and Appearance". The new AFI 36-2903 allows military females to have braids, micro braids and corn roles now due to religion. All the policy changes that the military has recently went through, why hasn't facial hair for males due to religion been addressed?
Many religions, including Sikhism, Amish, Islam, and sects of Judaism, encourage or require their men to keep beards. In the absence of any divine exposition many theologians have posited that a hairy face is a symbol of masculinity bestowed upon men by God.
These are just some of the religions that believe in having facial hair. Military men server there country proudly why not allow them to practice there beliefs
