Marginalized, Disrespected and still paying taxes

The purpose of this petition is to call out a great epidemic that is occurring which is the suffering and humiliation people go thru when the only thing on their criminal record is a marijuana misdemeanor. Employers are discriminating against qualified candidates solely based of their past record and not allowing them to prove themselves as all newly hired employees are subject to.In many instances these are tax payers who contribute to the economy yet are deprived the right to seek a better paying job to provide for their family due to the fact that employers are quick to rush to judgement based off something that occurred 10+ years ago.We call for equality in the workforce based on qualification and not criminal records that are non violent,sexually abusive or theft related.
