Marijuana legalization

Created by H.C. on November 13, 2012

"law abiding, tax paying citizens, and other non users in fact have the constitutional right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. We are hereby establishing that marijuana use is detrimental to our pursuit of happiness, and our daily lives."

Law enforcement has failed to demonstrate that marijuana laws can be enforced fairly without regard to race; far too often minorities are arrested for marijuana use while white/non-Hispanic Americans face a much lower risk of arrest.

Marijuana benefits patients with health problems.
It helps reduce problems with glaucoma
it reduces nausea from chemotherapy
In some cases it's known for helping cope with pain.

25 million Americans have smoked marijuana in the past year.

Taxation of marijuana would bring in tax revenues
