Dear President Obama, My petition will impact millions of Americans, especially my younger brother. Many of his early offenses that accumulated and led to future plea bargains to avoid persistent felony offender sentences were for the use and acquisition of marijuana. I understand you have also smoked marijuana. It seems unjust for one American to be able to rise to the position of President while another gets caught in war on drugs and now suffers in prison with millions of other Americans. So many families suffer greatly due to incarceration of non-violent drug offenders, who are often addicts without resources for effective treatment. Please President Obama, pardon every non-violent drug crime sentence in the USA prior to leaving office. Thank you for your consideration of this request.
