Match reductions of military benefits with equal reductions of elected official's benefits.

Created by C.L. on November 07, 2011

The elected members of congress and the administration enjoy significant healthcare, pay, and retirement benefits which continue for life at the end of their terms. In its zeal to reduce the federal deficit, congress has placed the benefits earned by the military on the cutting block. The administration should show its dedication to fiscal soundness and fairness by introducing a bill that would reduce the lifetime benefits of all elected officials by an amount to match any reduction of military benefits.
