Political office in the USA is meant to be an office of public service and the individuals who hold those offices are meant to be public servants, not lords. In no other arena do we see the servants getting paid more than those they serve.
For the protection of the American public from career politicians who don't care about We The People, and for the economic survival of our country, I make this petition to limit the salary and benefits of all politicians, from the lowest position to the president, to be limited to the average minimum wage and associated benefits in the USA. In addition, all salaries and benefits should end when said politician leaves or is removed from office; whether by their own choice, or by a 4 year term limit or removal by We The People of the USA.
