In IN, to get a gun permit you need about $30 & fingerprints. To get a hunting license you must attend 8 hrs of safety training...go figure?? It needs to be more difficult to get semi-automatic weapons (any kind). And I own several of them... Ban is not the answer!
First. Mandatory 16 hrs safety training ran by local or county police dept to get a gun permit. Give those of us who have one 2 yrs to get this done. Funded by those wishing to obtain gun permit.
Second. ALL semi-auto hand guns & AR's to be registered if carried from your residence. Period. Hefty fines and confiscate arms if not registered.
Third. If you own a gun, your responsible for its actions. Our biggest failure. Unless your gun is unlawfully stolen you should be held to some account. Need resp gun ownership!!
