We as citizens of the United States have the right to free speech. The media has the right to publish what they see fit. However, it is an unremitting truth that within those freedoms there are still some things that need to be taken into account. Freedom of speech does not include the right to shout “fire” in a crowded theater or room. It also should be taken into account that the media should not have the right to “release results” before voting has begun or before the polls have closed. More and more the media has had the habit of doing so, therefore possibly discouraging voters from attending the polls at all and also has a chance of disenfranchising certain voters, even if not intentional. I believe there should be an investigation as to the behavior of the media in respect to this.
